Photographer & artist: portfolio site (WordPress/Crocoblock) combining portraits and drawings for a professional image

Julie Robinson is a passionate photographer and artist whose work focuses on the portrait and drawing. Having started photography at fifteen with a predilection for street photography, she later specialized in portraits of strangers, using the camera as an "ideal way to break the ice".

Based in London and a graduate of the Vevey School of Photography, she called upon Geekworkers to present its objective, which is to "reveal the authenticity of each person." Its need was to create a clean, elegant and professional portfolio site which would illustrate his artistic work (photographs, drawings), his background (training, exhibitions, publication) and facilitate contact for photo shoots and collaborations.

Julie Robinson avait besoin d’un site capable de mettre son travail au premier plan, sans discours inutile.  L’objectif était clair : laisser les images parler, tout en offrant un cadre professionnel capable de générer des opportunités réelles (séances, collaborations, expositions).

Nous avons conçu une expérience volontairement minimaliste, centrée sur la photographie et le dessin.  Chaque élément du site a été pensé pour servir l’image, réduire les frictions et encourager l’exploration : galeries immersives, chargement fluide, navigation instinctive, lisibilité parfaite sur mobile comme sur desktop.

This allows for flexible organization and elegant presentation (e.g., grid or carousel galleries) via templates ElementorThe emphasis is on the visual quality and impact of each work.

Strategy: a detailed and well-structured "About" section.

The "About" page is crucial for an artist. It details Julie Robinson's background, her artistic philosophy (search for authenticity), her academic training (Vevey School of Photography, Arts University Bournemouth, etc.), and her exhibitions and publications. This strengthens her credibility and contextualizes her work.

Facilitating professional contact for sessions and collaborations

Strategy: clear contact form and direct contact information.

A dedicated “Contact” page, with a simple form (created with Elementor Pro or JetFormBuilder, secured by WP Armour) and potentially its direct contact details, allows easy contact for professional requests. JetPopup could be used for exhibition announcements or calls for projects.

The design of the site, created with Elementor, is deliberately minimalist so as not to distract from the artwork. Particular attention is paid to optimizing images for fast loading without compromising quality, and to responsiveness for perfect viewing on all devices. Rank Math SEO is used for SEO optimization, and Site Kit for monitoring visits.
